probably been discussed but I can't find this info I'm wanting

Anyway once the 18th is active and we all need to spend ££££ on our new bibles will there be a short update exam or a full 18th edition exam

Thanks

It's just after looking at the proposed changes they want to bring in for the 18th I just think they are really scraping the bottom off the barrel.

One of my mates, with about 4o years under his belt has decided that he's going to give up .....'m the trade need people like him ....... And his main issue is that nobody polices what's actually going on ....

and they won't until the likes of niceic put safety and good workmanship before their own grubby balance books.

a pig has just flown past my window.

^^ end users don't have a clue about the regs and changes..... It's us poor sparks who get lumbered with the hassle, whilst those in their ivory towers just continue to dream up changes and tweaks too keep themselves busy ......

Can anybody actually justify why the 18 th edition is actually required?

By end users I meant us sparks Mid.
It's jobs for the boys the constant tweaking.

I recall someone mention before about amendments & charges in BS7671 being in ring binder format, or whatever you call that. So you can buy just those bits. Think it got shot down in flames, but I think that might save a few trees?

That's what they do with the gas regs in believe. A much better and cheaper system.
