Hai.

I'm looking for a 1kw grid dimmer. They seem to be hella hard to find, do they exist?

Thanks in advance :)

Yes they do. What type ot load, linear or inductive? Rotary or lever? Two wire, three wire or four wire? You'll need to be more specific to get a specific recommendation I'm afraid.

Hi, thanks for the replies.

I don't know what those different types of loads are :S

It is a normal lighting circuit, 20 downlighters on it. I think the grid make is Crabtree, going off the make of the blanks that were in there.

Basically, if i went into a suppliers and asked for a 1kw dimmer, i'd get one for a patress... all i need is that same dimmer made for a grid slot!

Thanks :)

make one get a 1 gang dimmer and remove it from the face plate drill a blank to fit the shaft then refix it , you may find the 1k dimmers take up 2 moduals
