Hello to all
Here's one i have never come across before so i'm a little unsure of how the best way to tackle the job.
Working in some student accomodation, a converted victorian terrace, there are now more occupants than before so the landlord has requested the new kitchen being installed has 2 cookers.
At the moment i have a 6mm feed running on a B16 breaker to a socket to which the cooker is plugged in.
The 2 new cookers are only basic cheap ones that also only require plugging in.
What are your views on the best way to re-wire this. Access is no problem just at pre-plaster stage now.

thanks for any input
ben

You can buy a dual appliance output plate that will basically use the incoming supply and split it in to 2 feeds. As the cookers are both plug in types they will draw no more than 26A. Obviously you need to assess the run of the cable as to the current carrying capacity and then upgrade the MCB to a 32A. Certain reference methods of installation wont allow the MCB upgrade. This due to discrimination.
