Hi,

Just got a request to do a load of work on a property, its a HMO and the bloke says he wants..

Installation of of 7x Aico Smoke and 7x Aico Heat alarms interlinked on its own trip switch

I don't usually get involved with HMO's but would like a bit of guidance as to if a grade D LD2 system is ok or if a better system is required.

I have checked the Aico guidance and it suggests Grade D, LD2.

Presumably one on every escape route and main areas etc, i would have thought though that a HMO you wont want to be annoying the other neighbours within the building when you burn your toast...

Grade D Ld2 will be interlinked smokes in circulation areas, hall and landing plus heat detection in kitchen.......bit worried abaut your list of 7 smoke & 7 heats, that would be a manision, not a normal 2 story house. If its HMO Local BC will have provided the schedual for the licence.
