hi everyone

i have a extension to wire the house has 2 supplies as there used to be a anex attached, if i use the old anex supply for the extension how do i stand on the bonding side of it? the boiler is in the old part of the house and the gas is bonded there, but the sink is in the new part of the house so im planning on bonding this here, has anyone had a simular experiance in the past?

cheers

If the two are completely separate, then you could bond them separately.
If however the heating boiler is in one part, and that feeds radiators etc. in the other, it wpould be best to cross bond them.

Are the supplies in the same area of the building? Same supply type (TNS, TNC-S)? Same phase?

Its not the sink that needs bonding its the water mains, so if the 2 parts of the house share the same stop cock then thats what needs bonding.

thanks for your reply's
one supply is on front of house and other is on the back where the anex was, they are both tncs and on the same phase. the main water comes in the new extension, should i bond both gas and water from both supplies, its just that getting a cable from the new consumer unit location in the extension to where the gas enters the house (in the exsisting part of the house) will be a right pain.
