2 Way lighting in bathroom

Err why have I just seen 2 pullcords in a bathroom for 2 way lighting. 1 directly above the bath measuring 2000mm from the bottom of the bath?

Never seen that before!!

Definitely 2 way I checked it. And there is another 1 next to it for the fan. Which has been used to add a switch to a ELV fan wired in singles between the fan and other Pullcord.
the fan is so old it has the transformer sitting above the surface fan built into it 240v in zone 2 (No earth connected) that steps down to 12v inside the fan.
must be 40 years old but still works!!

My neighbour has 2 * 2-way pullcords in his garage.

I might invent intermediate pullcords for exceptionally large bathrooms. It's surely bound to make me a billionaire before long!

My father invented a version of this, some decades back, where a pull cord was wall mounted in an outbuilding, nowhere near either door.

It never struck me as particularly good design, but after reading this thread I'm gutted at the loss of future royalties from his lack of foresight in not applying for a patent.
