Hi :)

Ive done a search on apprentice rates but cant see anything specific on ages and rates.
Ive looked at the JIB rates and also looked at what people are actually on, it varies from minimum wage to people talking bo_ _ ocks

I am also aware that it does change dependant on location in the country.
Location , Yorkshire

What would an 18 year old who gets picked up and dropped off every day likely to be paid after passing 1st year at college- NVQ
What would an 19 year old who gets picked up and dropped off every day likely to be paid after passing 2nd year at college - NVQ

What would an 20 year old who gets picked up and dropped off every day likely to be paid after passing 3rd year at college (AM2) NVQ complete

We are not a JIB registered company, like everyone finding it hard but also trying to gauge wage structure right to fit in with the economic climate

Thanks for any info

Not a JIB company they can pay you what they like as some places are only paying qualified sparks £7.50 per hour from posts I have seen.

k so im 17 just passed my lvl 2 and im getting paid 30 pound a day atm
but they have told me by this September ill be on 150 a day.
after 1-2 years working with someone i think you would be pretty competent
to do job on your own without needing any help and so pay goes up i think.
i think the picking up dropping off bit is just lucky.

well only just started company im working for is working for mitie just doing small flat rewires in a day
but what im trying to get at is that im not really going to be an apprentice after afew months of work.

http://www.sjib.org.uk/documents/2008-2009-2010-Wage-Rates.pdf the SJIB wages nice and easy to follow JIB has 3 rates"Shop rate" = where you work in the workSHOP,office
"travel in company vehicle rate" where traveling is done in company van ie picked up and dropped off This is approx between SJIB shop and travel rate

"Travel rate"= when employees travel using their own transport This is also paid along with travel allowance and radius money But both these allowances are ONE Way ie to the job Make your own way home

so In answer Id pay somewhere inbetween SJIB Travel and shop rates you wont be far off the mark

Is that MITIE Facilities, Property and Asset management by any chance?

If it is you will be lucky to get £10 an hour when you are out of your time.

Mitie FM test engineers have now applied for their jobs now rate is going down to 21k doing PIRs 25 circuits a day with £3 for any over the 25 no Over time so its getting like PAT testing Quantity not quality and their PAT testers are 200items a day the guy at the top came from Epsilon and is "Customer focused" ie hes cutting prices and cutting guys wages from what i gather its "Take it or leave it" hes a bit of a Masterbater

yeh well were getting alot more then outhers for some reson outher people on the site are probably getting that
we got set price per flat so we get em done in a day,in a group of about 5 and outhers are doing groups of 2 taking a week

the guy that Use to be with epsilon was"Head hunted" to Mitie after they took over Dalkia /Parkersell they guys are having to reapply for their jobs its Pure Pish IMO the jobs we were doing Banks the client had only given floor area for customer area and not ALL so BIG differance between what was actualy there and what was priced

They do however have crackin software for the certs it does DB sheet as you do results all the HnS,Obbs N Recs are typed in with codes for remedials
Just phoned an agency lookin for TnI glasgow see how this goes fingers crossed
