Can a 20VA transformer take an electric toothbrush?

Got a braun toothbrush which the only rating on any instructions is 1.2W output, customer keeps blowing transformer for shaver socket when leaving this plugged in for long peroids of time.

well, 20VA is 20watts, so the 1.2 watts won't blow it. is he plugging his lawnmower in it?

Hahahaha. It's baffling, this is the only thing he says goes in. He has two in his flat, the other one never had a problem but he can't remember if he plugs it in for long periods of time.
The only thing I can think is the electric toothbrush is rated at 24V. Highly unlikely but there's not much else.........

Maybe his wife has some kind of turbo charged product that she uses that he doesn't know about. Wink wink nudge nudge. If you know what I mean.
