basicly my normal boiler stat thing is broke and i want something that i can wire in twin and earth to cut and give power to the boiler. same way a switch works on a lighting circuit but with a timer i can set.

hope iv explained it well enough thanks.

You timer would require volt free contacts which would be wired to the terminals which originally did your stat 'feed and switchwire' but i would have thought just replacing the stat is a whole lot simpler and cheaper as well as been better for functionality, if you want timer control just run the switch return from the stat through the volts free n/o contacts of your timeclock then back to boiler.

thanks for the reply it is very much appresheated i thought no one was going to offer advise. is the device from the webpage suitible to be wired in the boilers t+e feed from the c/u in order to switch power on and of to the boiler?

To be hoest without the connection diagram its impossible to say, as i mentioned before you need volts free contacts to run your boiler control through, you best bet is to go to electrical wholesalers ad request this type of timeclock although it might be a few quid more at least it will be right.

thanks for all your help. yes it is a gas boiler sorry if its my fault being unclear. i have decided to go the wholesalers and pay a bit more for somthing decent. im not fussy about paying for something decent i have just not had much experience in this area of wiring, and needed a little push in the right direction so agian thanks all of you.
