Hi Guys
I am going to install some track lighting in a pub. I was wondering what the pros and cons are for 230v halogen fittings and 12v halogen fittings. Seen some really good 230v tracks that will work really well but im a bit concerned that they will gobble up electricity.
Thanking you

I use 5W Eye-lite LED GU10 lamps ,It's the equivalent of a 40w halogen, the light is even the same shade as a halogen. They dim really smoothly as well.

Yes go for 230v because of the lack of need for transformers and also because the fittings themselves will be larger and more suitable for a pub. I would not recommend LED's though, too expensive for too little light!.

Our single circuit HV1 is top quality, long lasting and inexpensive.

As littlespark says there's no ways you're going to find spike lights that can accomodate SWA cables directly into them.
