My advise, well, what I did and I reckon most other have too is......
1) Read the question.
2) Re read the question.
3) Try to answer it without looking at the given four [4] answer.
4) If your worked answer is then on the list then mark it and move onto the next question.
5) If your worked answer is not on the list, flag the question and come back to it at the end.
Your be surprised how quick the time goes once you start the exam. If you spend ages trying to work out one [1] question you run the risk of running out of time. Hit the ones you know first off and those that are slightly tricky or just too hard flag and come back too.
Even if you have ten [10] question flagged and ocme back to them at the end and run out of time you may of got enough right the first time around to still pass. The ones you have flagged just repeat the process of 1 - 4/5. Your soon narrow it down to just a few questions that you can spend a bit of time on.
Also,....Im sure some students think its a race to see who can get out first. Its not. Its your career so just becasue youve finished before the times up doesnt mean you finished the exam. Sit back, relax and go through the questions again. Double check! Then double check that.
Id rather be the last out and re read things 5 times and pass then be the first out and fail becasue I thought I was cock sure!
Hope this helps you and any others. BTW. Ive just passed my 301 and suing the above steps means I passed everything 1st time and didnt have to do re-sits unlike my class mates. I also purchased the books recomended by the lecturers, expensive? Yes. Worth it? DEFFO! Plus, I now have ÂŁ100 worth of level 2 and 3 books, calcalation books and the IEE guide that is an abundance of reference that I keep in the boot of my car when I get the chance to work.
I may be qualified on papaer and been installing for 3/4 yeasr but I am no way near qualified on site. Even the old boys are still learning 30 yrs on the tools.
