I'm starting the 2330 Level 3 tomorrow, and was just wondering how people without a job found this course. My tutor only let about 3 or 4 people on the course who haven't got apprenticeships, as he says it's unbelievably hard to pass if you're not working as a sparky.

Is he exagerating?

Its not hard if your willing to put in the extra reading time I guess, obviously being in the trade would give you a better understanding.

It's doable anyway, good luck sir

I start in a few weeks anyone got any advice regarding the best books to buy or any other material that will help me through it.

This series of books is very good. This is the one I used on my L3 but I have the first 2 and they are very well written and well explained. I also have quite a few by B Scadden and they are very good as well.
