2330 lvl 3 practical

Got my 2330 lvl 3 practical on Monday, but i have not been given the opportunity to have a go at the installation which we have to test. I’m pretty confident about most of the circuit’s except the motor circuit.
1). is R1 + R2 taken at the contactor or is the contactor manually held in and reading taken from the motor?
2). is the contactor held in for the insulation resistance test??

My money is on at the motor and hold in the contactor. (For furthest point of the circuit)

Careful when taking the readings as you may get something like 23 ohms, 23.6 ohms and 0.34 ohms. What does that tell you??

Press in the contactor when going IR to test the cables down to the motor or you could do it on the overload connections. (Probably easiest)
