Hello i want to complete my 2356 before Dec, i currently work part time as an Electrician.

Im back on site on Tuesday and i want to start taking pictures.

What pictures do i need?

ENSURE SAFE SITE WORKING: Pictures of building scaffolding, pictures of step ladders with boots, hard hat and hi vis? Pics of warning signs?

DIAGNOSE AND CORRECT FAULTS: Pics of covers off, test lamps and meters??

PROVIDE TECHNICAL INFORMATION TO RELEVANT PEOPLE: Pics of site drawings, instructions from materials, jobs sheets etc?

MAINTAIN A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Pics of a clean and tidy worksite???

PREPARE TO INSTALL ELECTRICAL WIRING AND ENCLOSURES: Pics of spirt level, marking out, measuring???

INSTALL ELECTRICAL WIRING SYSTEMS AND ENCLOSURES: Pics of armoured, T&E? Tray? Trunking, conduit? Do i need to use 3 types of cable, as i only really use T&E and armoured?

CONNECT WIRING SYSTEMS: Pics of connecting armoured, singles, T&E?

INSPECT & TEST: pics of testing 3 jobs?

I understand that you need 3 different examples for each unit, but if a 1 jobs covers more than one unit for example i use armoured, t& e and tray in 1 job can i just use this?

How many pictures do i need for each section on average?

Do i need to wear a hard hat and hi vis in all pictures?

Any help would be great, cheers.

one job can certainly cover more than one unit like you said , swa steely tray etc would cover two units there alone, then there is the safe site working, cleaning up etc (ensuring safe working conditions) hi vis boots h hat signs or barriers, barriers could be tape or a locked door mcb`s locked off it`s quite easy to get 6 units from one job alone. the more pics you can get the better.after the assessor see`s the first lot you will have a good idea what he wants or if you can contact him you could ask him. each assessor want slightly different things. t should be more standard but unfortunately it isn`t. some want you to touch your toes whilst putting a big db board in. don`t forget your witness statements and risk assessment forms. if you have any more questions just pop them on here and i will do my best to answer them

Thanks for the reply mate, could i gain my evidence of say 6+ jobs? The reason i ask is, as i work part time, i might not finish i job that i started? I might end up finishing someone elses job etc.

Will it be a problem that i only use 2 wiring systems, SWA and T&E?

Im going to use Delta Training they seem really good, going to start taking pics then apply when i get back off my hol in Aug.

Cheers

don`t worry about not finishing the job`s, who would know if you did or didn`t if you know what i mean. the assessor will check your evidence with the witness statements. and if you have done part of a job and met the range s needed it`s all good.

yeh get some evidence together but it needs dating accordingly. your assessor will need to visit you on site a couple of times. don`t forget to get someone in the pictures for when yu are giving functional information. this could be on the operation and use of an rcd for instance. have a word with them about the wiring it should not be an issue though

should only need 2 jobs as your AM2 should cover the 3rd
also see if your assesor can do some site visits should cut the paper work down and youd probably cover more units in 1 lot instead of writing up numerous occasions
