Hey guys!
We've been given a list of mock questions to do as homework for the level 3 design section, and i've come across one i just can't get my head around. Any help would be amazing. I've been at it for hours and sums and formulas are now just all blending together to create one big notepad of nonsense.
Q: A Drawing office measures 50m x 40m and is to be illuminated with 20, 1000W high pressure murcury vapour luminairs each having an efficacy of 59 lm/W. If the utilisation factor is 0.6 and the light loss factor is 0.8, calculate the illuminance. Show how you might fit them in the room. If the Space-to-height ratio is 1.25:1 determine the mounting height.
It's become my nemesis. Please help showing working out so i can make sense of it.
Many thanks in advance for anyone taking the time to assist!
Cheers,
Andy
