hi guys im currently stuck on unit 305 task A with regards to question
6. produce a proposed critical path network for the building construction ,electrical installation and commissioning of the new outside workshop.

what is it they are asking for?
is it just electrical or to do with building ?

Based on the information you have posted only, it looks like they are considering the building construction as well as the electrical installation.
You would need a list of tasks to be done and how long they would take and then plan which ones can be done without others in place. e.g. you cannot run the cables in the walls until the walls have been built but you also cannot decorate until the cables are installed.
Obviously most commissioning will be done at the end but do consider where it may be possible to commission before all construction is completed as this can allow the final commissioning time to be reduced.

You probably have more background information that would allow you to make a reasoned judgement.

I remember this one. There's stuff on "critical path" in the course book detailing how to prepare one. And Richard is right on his description of what they want. Fortunately the workshop isn't complex, and you can make assumptions, providing you STATE THE ASSUMPTIONS YOU MAKE, then all is good.
Looking at mine (submitted in May IIRC) I had things like: Ground work, concrete slab, framing, external cladding, conduit, running cable from building to workshop, second fix, inspection and testing. I didn't mention everything, you've got to think through the job yourself!
