Whats the difference between the two?
from what i can gather the 10 is inspection testing & certification and the 20 is Design, Erection and Verification.
can you do the 20 without doing the 10 first?
If so does the 20 give you the same qualification as the 10 but more?

The 20 is regarded as above the 10 in the fact that it covers most of the scope of the 10 but also incorporates Design and erection, so yes it is a higher qualification, though for a totally unknown reasoning they are a level 3 qualification the same as the 2377 PAT !!!!!!!! Go figure that.

A lot of the centres that run the course do advise you that to take the 20 course it is better to have both the 2382 and the 2391-10 courses and move onto the 20 course.

I did the old 2400 equivalent and IMO it is quite a lot more intense than the 2391-10 as you have a 60 hour project at the end of it, that really do seperate the men from the boys.

Agree with Malcolm, the 20 sorts the men from the boys but is totally overlooked by employers, they only ever see as far as 2391-10.

Also, if you do 2391-10 first and pass the practical element, you do not then need to do the practical assessment in 2391-20.
