Just out of interested, now the new amendments are in place. Does that mean the new electrical installation condition report is being introduced into the 2391 exam?

So anyone sitting the exam this year, there paper will be based around the new reports? As i know there supposedly doing away with the 2391.

Yes the exam is , but you test to the current edition of the regs .So you will be using the amended forms to record your results. I could be wrong though they may not change it from January, but I can't see it.

From memory, all you have from BS7671 is the certificates, the rest is inspection and then testing sequence which isn't in the BGB.

I did mine just over 2 years ago so cant remember the exact layout but do recollect only needing to use GN3 for revision.

No, I was asked about certain faults in a installation. I was asked about different types of certificates. Neither GN3 or BS7671 gives recommendations on what code to give to a particular fault or finding.

Yes but the whole testing regime is based on the requirements of the current edition of BS 7671 ,you will base all your results on the new edition after January 1st.
The OP asked if the new forms will be used for the next exam , and I think they will.

Fault codes are decided by using your judgment as you are The man on the spot. All advice on codes is for guidance only.

Yes, I did a Installation certificate for my practical, along with finding pre-determined faults on a board all of which were visual, which was just noted on a sheet of A4 paper.

But during the written exam never had to fill in any forms.

We got a pir to do in a factory and office block that could not be isolated, had to do the lims etc on the appropriate forms.
