2391 exam!!!

hi, does anyone find it hard to pass the 2391 exam? ive done it twice now and came out each time confident id passed it but no luck. is there any tips to passing this exam? goin crazy here!!!

gn3 gn3 gn3 , breakfast lunch and tea apart from that mate a good knowledge of the osg and some past papers. 1st time i took it i didn`t think it was that hard but i fluffed it? keep at it mate you will get there

It's a good qualification and good qualifications require some work to achieve them.

There are many threads with great tips on this subject, some being the exam success book, doing past papers (not just reading them).

Terminology is king, get it right.

Treat Guidance Note 3 as your bible, understand it as opposed to just reading it.

Starting my course next week, I have a GN3, I will do as suggested.

I sat mine 18 months ago, 1st time and passed, doesnt give you a mark just says pass on it,
I supose it all depends on the paper and how hard the big question is.
From memory mine was a public underground carpark with 24 hour access, containing 3 floors/office, fluorecents in car park controlled by photocells etc, so many ccts, asked me what procedure would you use for IR test, any special precautions to consider.
another was what type of cable / containment was best for this installation explaining why, and a couple more questions on it.
I was lucky I guess in that all the questions I seemed to know the answer straight away and didnt have to think too much, ( could just have easily gone the other way and had known very little answers. )
its pot luck - loads of guys who really knew their onions testing wise failed the same exam I took, and a couple who werent that great got passes.
just hope you get a good paper next time,

I did my one in September 2010 and passed at 1st time. As the guys said GN3, GN3 and GN3. I even sit down and copy all most whole book on paper HANDWRITE together with drawing so I practice writing all exactly as in the book + I bought about 20 past papers exams and did them all (very helpful) www.britaniatraining.co.uk ( if I spell it wrong just google it )
