Hi, just looking for a bit of help with my 2391 practical. When doing an insulation test we are supposed to remove dimmers. What do you do with the wires left once it has been removed? Just leave them hanging out? Put a connector strip on the end of each? Surely they need to be protected because of the 500v from the isulation tester. I know there is a dimmer in the practical so don't want to do the wrong thing. Thanks

Yes, link them out with connectors. There should be some in the college test kit.:)

Either that or make sure you explain to the examiner that this is what you would do if you're short of time for instance.
