Greetings.
Here's a question I am not sure of the answer to.

A landlord wants a PIR on eight luxury flats.
The electrical installation forms part of a 400/230V TNC-S system.
A three phase metal clad DB is installed at the origin to supply the landlords services and communal areas.

1.State the type of inspection to be carried out.
Answer periodic inspection and test.
2. list, stating the total number in each case, the documents to be completed following the inspection and test.
Answer periodic inspection report including schedule of test results and schedule of inspections although how many documents I am not sure.
Is it one for each flat and landlords DB including one periodic inspection report for each, this makes nine separate reports totalling 27 individual documents?

Could someone help me thanks.

Thats correct, a PIR, schedule of inspections, schedule of test results for each DB, thats assuming there are no sub DB's in any of the flats but its safe to assume that there are only a total of 9 db's as its a ity and guild question.

It's just one report, with nine DBs to inspect and test.
I'd probably only do one schedule of inspections with nine schedules of tests.
However on page 2 of the PIR model forms, there is a space for you to number how many schedules of both inspections and tests, so they would probably want nine schedules of inspections, as well as nine schedules of tests.
That would be a total of 19, far too many for my liking, I'd only produce 11.

agree with high tower think this was june 2010 exam i did lol
and its 1 pir , 1 schedule of inspections and 1 schedule of test results for the landlord db
and 8 pirs ,8 schedule of inspections and 8 schedule of test results for the 8 flats
so yes a total of 27documents lol nearly a tree

See i think its 27 docs!, BUT.....i do have to concede that Spin has a point.

But i still think its 27 even tho spin is completely right, im under the impression that its 9 separate PIR's because its 8 separate adresses and 1 landlord supply, it would only be 1 report if it was 9 DB's in one address. but thanks spin for making me think about it!

Hi mate yes as its different addresses

27 in total if 1 address and 1 DB and 8 ccu then the 1 PIR 1 schedule of inspections i think but still 9 test results

this was the question in 2391 june 10th 2010 exam as i did it and answered 27 in total wether it was right or not who knows with C&G as you dont know what you got right or wrong lol

surely, where the landlords DB is at the main incomer, and all other DB's are submains from this, it would only require 1 PIR, 1 Schedule of tests and 9 schedule of test results..... It's a bit of a grey area but I've had this argument with a former electrical compliance officer and he finally conceded. The problem tho is listing sizes of bonding cables at different DB's...
