hi can somebody help me out here, i cant see the answer for the life of me,

its probably straight forward for most of you but for some reason i just cant get my head right

state three ways, other than listed in GS38, in which safety may be ensured when using test instruments having previousley secured a safe environment.

cheers

look in gs38, then think of 3 other ways. not having a copy handy, i'm not sure what it says. but one possibility is .... dont wear trainers with stupid long laces that you'll trip over and put yer face inside a live DB. :smilielol5:

I wont spoon feed you the answer, but you need to know it so i will tell you where to find it.

You need to look in the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. There is a Regulation (cant remember the number).

It says (amongst other things), Test equipment should be fit for purpose, ........................, and .......................

You can fill the blanks in yourself.

Cheers...........Howard

Don't use test instruments whilst high on drugs, the numbers have a tendency of moving around.

but half-cut on ale is OK because some of us can't function properly without. like me. i'm rubbish on anything higher than a step stool, but after 5 pints, i;ll climb anything.

If current college testing advice is to be believed,it's pyrex shoes, faraday cage and polypropolene probes...

Test instruments would be considered to be "systems" under EAWR 1989 so you could apply reg 4. Or if you wanted to go another way you could look in the index of GN3 under T for test instruments
