Ive been told that doing my 17th edition update before my 2391 testing and inspection would be a big advantage for me so ive got this booked for the 17th july, should i be constantly reading through my regs books before this and is there any other revision i could do ? also on the time leading up 2 my 2391 whats the best revision i can do ? Done testing quite abit before but not really done any in the last year so need topatch up. Will the 4 day course provide me with all the info i need ?

Already started looking through my IEE wiring regs and on site guide

Many thanx people

Hello Wilmer197

I would agree about the 17th update.
I used this book for revision as well as searching online for past question papers:
As to reading your regs book, it can't hurt but I didn't feel you needed to.

The Inspection & Testing on the other hand is a whole different nasty creature. The prac is not too bad although time is a bit tight. The theory is nasty all round. There is an exam success book for the inspection and testing which I would recommend and again search the net for papers but as it's a pretty new exam most of the past papers are for the 16th. I found various questions about the net but the college gave us past papers to practice with.
The question wording I found to be deceptive so read the questions really well before answering.
I will see if I can find my old papers and scan them.

Hi Mate,

I passed my 17th edition exam a month ago by just revising using the NIC 17th ed training guide,

a great book which has questions at the end of each section.

It duplicates the regs in a much clearer way, and you can find the answers in it and then look again in the regs book.

Passed with a very high mark, very pleased with the outcome

Also look at this web site where you can do on line test's for 2381 and 2391.

Cheers
