hi guys haven't been on here for a while since college finished. passed level 3 with flying colours. got credit for 301 H+S exam and distinctions for the 302 and 303.although don't now how because i was pretty sure the best i could get was a credit for 302. anyway when i finished my final exam i spoke to my tutor about 2391 and the new 2392.he said the 2392 is worth doing but he also said to me that he didn't see me having a problem with the 2391 and if i had him as a tutor then i would definately pass it.so on friday the 21st i went to enrol and put myself down for 17th edition short course and the 2391. only to be told that the city and guilds have now decided that in order to do 2391 and the high failure rate you HAVE to do the 2392 first. on top of that in the space of a month the 2391 has gone from ÂŁ210 to ÂŁ520 accordin to the new college course booklet.so with having to do 2392 first at ÂŁ291 it's gonna cost me another ÂŁ700+ to get the 2391.is this really a city and guilds thing or is my college pulling a fast one? seems to me that C+G know everyone needs 2391 and has just bumped the prices right up.i've been told that 2392 isn't really any different to what you do in 302 anyway so do i really need to do it?anyone know of colleges that let you go straight to 2391 in the hertfordshire area?

Its the C&G trying to bend us over again. Im in the same boat, about to do 2391 but I know my old college said you have to do 2392 first.

But I think there are ways around it, try a different college or a training center?

dont worry about 2392.go for 2391 as long as you have part 3 and 17th edition.sod the college of and shop around.no college has asked me for2392 before i had 2391.as long as you show you are competent,no probs.good luck.
