240v Vehicle testing..(Mobile Libraries, Trailers, motorhomes ect..)

What kind of sparky would test this?
What forms would you use?
Is it a specialist area.. Its still a 240v supply to accessories

The big read book says..

110.2
Exclussions From Scope

"Equipment of motor vehicles, Exept those to which the requirments of the regulations concerning caravans or mobile units are applicable."

So how and what tests are done, I would of thought it would be quite a basic set of tests really..

I would think the same tests as you would perform on a domestic installation, plus inspection of the pitch for compliance, eg height of supply socket, lenght of cable of supply, IP rating of housing rcd fitted in and testing of RCD, finally special labelling for all carvans.

The only specialist area would be if mobile homes or carvans were feed from a generator and the supply was IT with either Insulation monitoring equipment or Residual Current monitoring equipment, that would require some specialist knowledge.

Thats right, These would be moving vehicles, Not static. So i suppose being powered by a generator.(Wouldnt be like a static caravan on a caravan park) How would you provide an earth for an install like this, Stick a rod in the ground once temp parked up? I would be very interested to know what form is used, and what tests are required.
