24a contactor 4 pole

I have never worked with contactors much so just want abit of info, ive come across a 24a 4 pole contactor for a heating system now what i want to know is, is its maximum switching load 24a or is the maximum load what the contactor can handle, it has 4 separate live conductors for each storage heater, also says on contactor, ac1 24a /3. 16kw/3. Ac3 4kw all at 415v. Any help would be appreciated.

If it states 24Amp then yes its 24amps max

Brilliant and could you tell me why the contactor states 16kw and 4kw

has it got DC beside one of them and AC the other ? other then that I don't know sorry

can you give us the manufacturer & part number, it should have it on the contactor. Or post some pics.
