2nd fixing and testing other peoples work

hello

i did a first fix of a kitchen re wire for my wifes aunty the other week went on holiday while it gets plastered etc and i have txt her to see when she wants it finishing and when she wants me to order her chrome sockets etc

the reply was i have got it all done ow the kitchen fitter did it as i couldnt wait suposidly testing it all as well

didnt think you could test other peoples work well i wouldnt like to as you dont know what they have done or would they issue a pir cert

In accordance with part p, a third party cannot inspect, test & register notifiable work that they have not carried out from start to finish themselves.

Sounds like the kitchen fitter was after a few extra quid.

Sounds like the kitchen fitter wasn't listening when he got his Part P too!

well she got rid of the plasterer as he was also going away and has now got a company in todo plastering plumbing kitchen fitting and finish off what i have done

and TBH i would happily complete the work in the kitchen and attach the face plates...!! like for like aint it...!! not me who has got to notify the installation...! that the previous spark who ran the cables and the home owner for not following building reg!
