saw a house today that needs rewire, it has a 3 phase supply, whats best to do use it or ask the distributor to change it to a single phase with 100A cut out?

Some of the houses I've worked on require 3 phases, i.e. 6 floor london town houses with indoor swimming pools and car lifts to the basement and anything else you could think of; I assume you are not talking about rewiring one of these.

Just finished a job where domestic three phase came in handy - had to install 2 x electric boilers 10kw each - one each on its own phase then rest of house on the other - only problem it wasn`t true 3 phase it was 3 x 240v so we didn`t save by balancing the load

house is not that being i think around 5 bed which i think single phase could be enough.
if i do use 3 phase do i have to put one of those grey industrial/commercial consumer unit?
