hi all I am fitting a rotatory isolator in series with the panel door mounted isolator on a star delta radiac saw.

The current main isolator located near the DB has Red, Yellow, Blue coming in. Going out on Brown across red Grey across yellow and black across blue. The cable goes to the panel isolator grey l1, brown l2, black l3. The cable between the main isolator and panel is where I am breaking in, in series to be able to use 2 isolators. I am confused on how I should connect the phasing into the new isolator so I don't reverse anything. As star delta are a nightmare

before dissing anything. use a phase rotation meter to determine the present rotation at the incoming side of the panel isolator.. then when you have wired up your additional isolator, check again with you new isolator ON, and the panel isolator OFF. make sure rotation is same as before. then you're good to go.

You haven't got a problem, you're over thinking it.
Ignore the end connections, you're breaking into Brown, Grey, Black.

As long as you have the same colour across the individual poles in the switch you won't loose rotation.
If you need to replace the cables because they're too short replace each one so the colours match where you remove them.
