3 phase rcd tripping

Hey just a quick one,
The factory I work at have built a new maintenance shed, and each work station has a 3 phase outlet rcd protected. Now, my problem is every time I make up a board which contains contactors it trips the rcd.. Is this due to some sort of balance issue? Can some one clear this up for me?

Yes correct a VSD chops up the wave form of the supply and re-builds it as required any any waste is dumped down earth hence the designed leakage.... as ive found a 1.5kw and aove usually is large enough to cause nuisance trippingon 30mA rcd's
