Hi all,
Im sure I'm right, but thought id check.
Ive been asked to wire two flats which are being formed from 1 existing building. The Existing building has just had a new 3 phase supply installed, (i don't understand why). but i only need single phase, but as i have three phase this gives me the option to supply one flat off one phase and another flat off another phase, but is this ok in regards to balancing the phases. i have no use for the 3rd phase. Also if i take 1 phase to each flat this means ill be sharing a neutral :-/. Is this ok? sorry if this is a silly question but not had a lot of dealings with the 3 phase stuff myself.

Thanks

thanks mate. The one other thing i thought of is that the owner will obviously want the fuse board for each property, IN each property. what method of installation would you use to get supply up to each property id say the run is about 5-6M for each one?

Get the DNO to raise 2 single phase MPAN numbers and have 2 single phase meters installed, from these you can tail into KMFs and onto the CUs

Is there any communal lighting or sockets? Could also get a third MPAN for a landlords supply
