hello chaps need some advice on 3 plate wiring, 1 of my bedroom lights wont work and all the others are fine , tried everything , bulbs , lampholders and no joy , any ideas as i think it may be the wire down to the switch thats the problem , any other reasons u can offer me please , thanks

no i,m not qualified 4 anything and only used what i had to hand from a mate and had 240v at the loop at the ceiling rose.

Sorry, with the name 'sparky' I assumed!! Well test what you have on the s/w at the fitting... If nothing, Check the continuity through the switch, If thats ok you have a core down!!

Ps if you do have a core down... that bare copper core is in there for a reason and shouldnt b used as anything apart from good old trusty Earth!!
