Pah, that's nothing! I discarded this drum just this morning, I was pulling in 200,000mm[SUP]2[/SUP] meter tails for my latest domestic DB change.

Blimmin' electric showers! Pull a lot of them amp things they do!

Cu or Al? For small cores like that I like 4 sector SolidAl, stays where you put it.

Hope they properly contained/restrained. Under fault some quite nasty things happen due to magnetic repulsion.

Yes tony all sorted. Cable tie every 1m whether it needed it or not ! And a bit of tape, balances quite well above ceiling tiles. Quality first !!

You're being serious then, oh Jesus!! Aluminium tape, ...frightened to ask what size they are installing in this substation, if they can't even get the cable restraining right. So what size is the TX or TX's in this substation??

Hi tony yes was joking. It's all within 300x300 trunking and banded within that too. Gonna be a nice install and will post some pics once metering has gone in.

Be good to see them.
Wish I had some photos of the cable chambers at the foundry. The the main distribution sub had 140 singles run in trefoil. There was another 12 substations dotted about the site. All sadly demolished now. The scrap men must have had a field day.
