300watt towel rail

anyone ever put one of these on a lighting circut in a bathroom.
been to look at job and this is what had been done.
bathroom was on its own circut 6amp rcbo b type

As it's just over 1 amp then can't see that loading is a problem. As it is a light circuit I would be guided by reg 559.6.1.1 (vii) that it should be fixed via FCU with a 3 amp BS 1361 Fuse to the fixed installation.

only pulling about 1.3 amps can handle it, bit like putting one of those heating fans on the lighting circuit, bit strange seeing it wired like that, most wire it off a sfcu to the towel rail.

cheers for the replies ,its not how i would of done it but i surpose with the light load and rated fcu @ 3amp its not going to cause any probs
