Morning guys

Got a bit of a head scratcher, and was wondering if anyone has got an explanation.

Basically we've got a 250kW install which went live about 3 months ago, the customer has just received his quarterly electricity bill and said he hasn't seen a reduction on it.

The setup is as follows:

We have 9 x 27.6TL Power One inverters, which feed onto a 400A busbar via the G59 relay, we have 2 x 150mm SWA's that run about 450m to the mains room, connect onto another 400A busbar and then into the Main DB via an MCCB which is a Schneider panel. In this panel there are other MCCB's which feed various other DB's. The main meter is CT and comes off the busbar of the main Schneider panel.

He has so far generated 67MWh but this has not reflected on his energy bill...!

Could it be a faulty meter? Or am I missing something! I don't think the meter is in the wrong place!

Regards
Mark

First question would be is the bill estimated as they would go on past usage to gauge approx' charge.

double check that the meter isn't recording the electricity flowing in both directions - we've had this with the samsung single phase meters about 5 times so far, and if the export was balancing out with the savings, it could well just show up as no change.

You'll need to actually physically watch it for a bit while it's definitely exporting to see if the suppliers meter clocks up or not, which could be difficult at this time of year.

If it's not that, then either you've royally cocked up with where you've brought the generation feed in relative to the suppliers meter (which we had to hold our hands up to on a domestic job recently), or they've installed some new massively power hungry piece of kit that's balancing out the new generation... assuming that it is the kWh that's not changed, rather than just an estimated reading, or the payments - if it's payments, check if they cost per unit has gone up enough to offset the savings.
