Client wants to have as much panel power as possible to generate maximum overall power benefit. Panel cost is not a problem but we need to keep within 16 amps. They want 24 x 190wp panels = 4560wp. I am struggling to find an inverter that will cope with the extra power and limit to 16 amps/3840w(so G83 compliant via UKPN)). We need three inputs with twin tracker with 1520wp on one string (flat roof) and rest on the other 2 strings pitched roof. So two inverters is probably the answer but which ones. Flat roof will derate panel power somewhat but not voltage. VOC 45.2.
Anyone managed a similar scenario?

Why 16amps If you fill out G83 form and submittto your DNO they might let you go over 16amp depends on they system wiring, Customer of mine has 10kw on single phase 100amp. DNO gave them permission

we've installed 6kW on a 4000TL, with an east / west system, and limited it to 3680W AC output.

aurora 3.6 out-d has a slightly higher voltage range and will handle much the same level of panels.

you will suffer some limiting, but probably only about 0.2-0.3% of annual output from either option.

Thanks I agree the limiting is not significant but I read a thread herein which suggested the 4000TL only limited the watts not the actual amps so would not be eligible under G83/1? How did you present this to FIT supplier as we need to be top tier for FIT.
Or did I misread that?

Yes I totally agree but I thought it was possible some DNO's want to see a "clamped" inverter if it clearly can operate above 16 amps by design.
UKPN have clearly stated to me they operate at 240v so I can set the watts to 3840 and be within limit but I am just checking if anyone has had a problem doing this in practice. I am not going to ask them first and get into an unnecessary argument.
