This one has got me.

The client wants 4 spot light on a 2 way
1 Pendant on a 2 way
2 outside lights on a 2 way

My Q is...... i plan on using a 4 gang two way on each side of the wall so he can control all lighting etc.
Do i have to provide a spur of the ring for the outside lighting or can i just tap off the lighting radial (THEY WILL BE ON RCDS) ?
Also the radial is only 1mm so im plannong on using an old 2.5 supply radial that was used for the old boiler and install a spur for the bopiler of the ring main.

ANY IDEAS ?

Also...After speaking to the plumber today he told me the boiler does not need to be in a seperate enclosed area.
Am confused as this will have a supply from the mains.
Also the time clock has a 5 core going back to the boiler and all this is in a en-suit so i would have thought this will have to be enclosed

Any views ?

The lighting is in the new extention. Im going to feed it from a new radial that was used for the boiler.

The lighting on the 1 st floor is 1mm but they wanting bathroom fan and bathroom lighting (en-suit) and also 4 spots in new bedroom (extention) from this circuit ?
Not much on this circuit as it feeds 4 rooms (pendants with an area of 20 sq mts.

The boiler i had an idea about the distance but was not sure but thanks anyway.

Ground floor is as on my 1st post . looking at the job their is only 20s/mts for the ring so should be ok i think ?
Am going to add 7 more sockets to this ring extending the area to 40 sq/mts.

The outside lighting would be ok comming off the downstairs lighting then or should i spur off the downstairs ring main ?

After looking at the regs i think this is ok but need any advice on all the above as i just moved into domestics from industrial,

cheers

Whether the outside lighting comes off the existing lighting circuit depends on the load you are going to add, bear in mind the reduced 3% V/Drop on lighting circuits.
