Got a job where 6 downlights are wanted fitted into a kitchen. Theres not much room to work with about 15cm to the floor above, now I know halogen bulbs get hot but is there a difference in heat production between the 50's and 35's?

I've tried 7 watt LED's and they just don't produced the same light but at the same time concerned about the lack of depths for the lights.

Thanks

35watt will be slightly cooler. key word is manufacturers instructions. if they say 150mm above is ok, then ok.

yes they do. they still need to dissipate the heat.

All of the 7W LEDs i've tried have produced, i would say roughly the equivalent to a 50W halogen, certainly better than a 35W halogen bulb... I suppose it depends on the quality of the 7W LEDs you have tried in this installation.
