Yeah im lost, always installing big 60947-2 MCCB's.... you can find info on max Zs on manufacturers webpages... Merlin Gerin for instance or Square D is Online. All the same anyway.... basically made by Schneider

i found one last week made by Terasaki. never heard of them before. No BS number on the 35 year old MCCB so i phoned their glasgow office who were very helpful.

I didn't realise they were that old, Park Electrical are Terasaki dealers, never used any, I'm rather wary of Chinese gear and the fact that I can't tell what's genuine or fake!

Terasaki are quite well known in the Middle and Far East, and actually not bad breakers...
Didn't know they had an office in the UK mind...lol!!!

Think you'll find that Terasaki is a Japanese company of long standing IQ, though i wouldn't be a bit surprised if some of there breakers are now made in China... lol!!!

Yes, the one I saw was made in China, it's the problem with fake gear that keeps me off the Chinese stuff-if I'm not familiar with the original, how would I spot a fake?

Just not worth the risk to me, you're right though, it is a Japanese company.
