6mm socket

was doing some work in a kitchen this week, there are 2 sockets that are run off the old cooker circuit, 6mm t&e into the first socket then 2.5 from that to the other.... mcb has been changed to a 20a one.

is this ok?

yes, but will also need RDC protection

I would have thought that you would have to downrate the circuit protective device as you have a cable size reduction i.e. 6mm - 2.5
