ive recently fitted 6 70w hqi for a window display, got fone call within a few days saying lights where going on n off , thought possible over heating so fitted a fan into void to bring sum cold air in and a 4 inch grill too. then got a fone call again to say there still going on n off, ive asked if its just certain fittings but the say there not too sure , any ideas what it could be i think maybe a few faulty balasts but any help would be good

checked that , the lights have been added into an existing circuit with 4 other hqi lights and there fine, would think that if there was aproblem with the circuit then they would all fail at same time not at diff times, am all out of ideas on it to be honest

I would check the control gear for signs of high temperatures, things like smell of hot paint or burning, visual discoloration etc. I would suspect faulty switchgear if you're certain the lamps are correctly matched.
