!7th edition update question?

hi i recently went to the college which i passed my 2351, the guy which ran the course said the next good thing to do will be the 2392 inspection and testing which i would like to do, i also wanted to do the 17 edition update but he says theres not much point as this will soon be changing is this correct?

17th ed is being ammended in June 2011, as far as I'm aware there wont be any further courses to do so I would go ahead and do the update course.

Just done it today, if your know your stuff and can find details in the Regs then I'd suggest exam only save yourself abit of cash.
