Please help!!

Can I run a 9.1kw Webasto thermo 90s 24v off two 12v leisure battery's for my tank of water in my van? Reason why I ask is because my friend is burning through battery's like no tomorrow. Does anyone have any idea why and what sort of power I would to do so.

Thanks in advance.

If the leisure batteries are large enough, you will get a fair run at 90w,calculate the duration using their Ah rating to deplete to 50%. The hotair units cycle off a thermostat,so are not powering the blower fan continuously. Are they topped up? eg;split charge, charge controller, engine running or not,and how long to reach terminal water temp? I have had a good bit of involvment with the same job in the living section of large horseboxes and it always ends up a battle between practicality and expectation. Remember,90w is about what your headlights draw,so how long, without input, could you leave them on and expect the engine to start? That's what you should roughly be judging.Cheers

Not sure how to figure depletion rate if had x2 12v to make 24v how what amp battery would I need there will be two little 12v pumps but they don't take much I could use 1 all week and not run battery down. There will be a split charger but ignore that. want to get enough amps to last 8 hrs work @ 90w without draining the battery completely as hear that kills them. Then charge in the evening. They do Trojan battery that go up to 200 amps. Wooh electrical stuff make head hurt :-/

So you are going to be using this heater in boost mode for a full 8 hrs I think you need to check with Webasto that is is capable of delivering this performance
