9 years exp elec mate wants get qualified

have been a sparky 's mate for 9 years going to do the electro tech certificate to qualify was just wondering if i would have to do the full course as any new starter in the trade or will i only have to do so much with the leve of experience i have any help would be welcomed cheers

Morton I am aware that some colleges do a fast track type of course based on previous experience but you may only qualify if you have done some training as an apprentice? Worth an enquiry at the local tech college?
