have installed a supply for a 9kw electric boiler supplies hot water and central heating
been lumbered with connecting it up (as a favour)
it has an oldish immersion heater (oso) looking at the stat connection its been wired as a y plan
has 3 connections
this system also has a valve in the hot water (for safety) also the mid position valve now the pump is wired direct to the boiler
have wired this always but the customer rings me up and says not working properly so last time i pulled a drawing off oso web site showing all the components i have in a y plan configuration so i wired it this way.
showed the customers wife that the heating was working fine was coming on and off with the room stat
switched to hot water boiler fired up run light showed shut hot water down pump run on which speaking to my plumber he says this is correct and will run for several minutes to stop it kettling so im off and next day phone goes
pumps running continious and the heating came on last night (him)
turn the stat down i will look at the pump (me)
well the boilers putting out 240v continious so iv`e got to change the circuit board there sending down another 1
so question is where should i draw the line of responsibility and anyone ever installed a aztec boiler
and should the plumber be involved
oh and any helpfull suggestions on the connections the controller is a lifestyle

how have you connected the boiler , what terminals did you have , does it have built in pumb and motorised valve , also is there a link that you should have moved when it was installed some do
