Sorry to bring this up, I've searched through some of the old stuff, but would like a bit of reassurance...

Been asked to install a 9KW electric boiler with immersion circuit for the cylinder. I couldn't see the main cut out as it was beleive to be in a different flat, so of course I will need to see this, but the old fuseboard said 60A maximum load on it. Now, presuming that the fuse that supplies the flat, maybe a submain, is 60A, I think this will be too much load.

There are only 4 circuits at the moment, but there is an electric shower that has been added in at some stage on it's own 1way unit. However, this doesn't appear to come from the fusebox, so I've no idea how it's fed.

Anyway, including that just in case, I've got

40A Boiler
40A Shower
30A Ring (only 2 rooms in the flat)
30A Cooker (looks like a plug in job now, so could down rate this)
16A Immersion
2x 6A lighting (5 or 6 lights in flat)

So, not adding any diversity for the boiler, shower, immersion or ring, that's alredy well over. Infact, even now, if this shower is fed from the same supply somehow, it seems to be over 60A. If the shower turns out to be seperate, again, I work it out to be over 60. Any thoughts or people had similar problems and found a solution?
