ALDI - Thursday Special Buys 5th July 2012 from 5/7 core bits,long masonry bits,rods,etc. cheap but at that price use them for a job or two and you've paid for them.

Seconded. I bought the 600mm and 1000mm SDS drill sets 2 years ago and both are doing sterling service with little signs of wear to the tungsten tips. Good quality, recommended.

I got the core bit set last year. For the price it's awesome ! I only got it for the 107mm, but it must have munched it's way through at least a dozen, if not 20, exterior walls and is showing no signs of giving up yet. Proper value for money, I'll be getting the set again for sure.

aldi have quite good drill bits and chisels got a set for Christmas last year and still going strong.
