Hello, still learning about electricity. Got a question.
For example, if i have an oven rated at 2kW max and a hob at 5.2kW max and i have a connection unit run off the ring supply, they are both connected into this connection unit, if the hob is on full and the oven is on low will the load of the hob be coming down the oven cable?? Or will that cable only have the load of the oven??
Hope that makes sense, sorry if im being stupid :)

If you have a 5.2KW hob off the ring main, that requires a dedicated seperate circuit, its load is too large for connection to the ring
The 2KW oven would be ok off the ring

If it does have a seperate circuit and cooker control and the 2 appliances connected at the cooker outlet plate and each with their own supply cable,
Each cable will only pass the current demanded by that appliance, however, the supply cable and the cable from the cooker control to the cooker outlet, these will be carrying the total of the 2 appliances
