Hi I am trying to fill in PIR (Periodic Inspection and Reporting Cert.)for a single phase TN-S system.
I have one question in the section (Recommendation) it asks for the the installation is further inspected and tested by ........ What date do we put? If it was Unsatisfactory what do we put?.....
What about if it was Satisfactory?

What date do you put ? well........that is for you to decide , taking account of condition and type of installation , the type of user etc.
Alot of it comes with judgement and experience although there is some written guidance on how often certain types of premises need to be tested.
You need to provide more info , house or hotel ? pass or fail ? lots of code 1's ?

The installation is a at test board for the Fault finding and testing exam. It is TN-S and single phase. It is supposedly a house. What is the date if it was Satisfactory (if there are No Code 1 or 2)?
Also what date if there was Code 1 and 2?

I just need a rough estimate for both cases.

Many Thanks

Domestic death trap lol = tight fisted landlords.

Although GN3 tables for frequency of inspection it clearly states that they are "guidance" but I've never gone above ten years for a domestic install but you can recommend longer.

Nazoom, stick to what the books say incase it pops up as a question, eg:-

Q. What timescale would you give a domestic premises after doing an EICR and all results came back prefect?

A. Ten years (because that is what the book says and the questions are based on the books).

It is down to the person carrying out the inspection and test to state when the next recommended EICR is to be carried out, taking into account the things described in earlier replies. Is this a question you are asking from a course that you are doing, or is it a case of you have done an EICR and dont know?

Cheers..........Howard

Not having a go mate but, a lot of people tried to answer one of your questions the other night. Be a bit more specific if you can. Are you after the maximum interval between inspections in a domestic instance? If so 10 years MAX.
It's irrelevant really if there are code 1's or 2's, as the PIR / EICR makes reference to the fact that the deviations identified are remedied without delay / immediately respectively.
What course are you sitting mate?
