A total culinary disaster!

Can any lads from Lancashire can tell me what’s happened to Holland’s of Baxenden. I wanted to place my usual order of 3 cases of steak and kidney puddings but they seem to have vanished off the face of the earth. I can’t get a decent pudding in Nottingham for love nor money!

I know the company was taken over Northern Foods and there were some job losses. Then thing get a bit confused because another company were to by the company from NF.
Please tell me where I can get my steak puds from. Help please I’m desperate!

Also on the look out for proper Derbyshire oatcakes!

hear, hear Tel. I went back to see my family the other weekend, and bought a load back wityh me, and i also had a wrights pie! they are the dogs and i love em!

wrights pies are good, but not as good as they used to be. the meat&tater in the pub with mushy peas and gravy, weashed down with 3 pints of joules's bitter, then back to work for the afternoon.

Oakcakes, I don’t want those lumps of stodge you lot eat. I want the ¼” thin 12” dia cakes you could toast then lather with lots of butter with a lump of cheese on the side, or fry in bacon fat. It had to be good cheese, non of that namby pamby Cheshire muck!

When I was a kid my dad used to get them for the family saturday lunch, pies chips gravy and their peas pudding. Yum flippin yum.

grate red leicester or cheddar. roll up in a staffycher oatcake with a few bits of bacon, mushroom, and anything else you fancy. popin microwave for 1min - 1min20sec.

BUT I’ve found Hollands steak puddings sold local to me. MMmm I’m in 7[SUP]th[/SUP] heaven.

My son still hates them, bloody heathen!
